Yes. Many of our guests remember us as Pheasant Run Ranch. Redbird Ranch is the next chapter. While PRR operated primarily as a traditional wild bird hunting destination, Redbird Ranch operates as a Kansas Controlled Shooting Area. This allows us to offer premium upland experiences, flexible dates, and a longer season (Oct- Mar) Although our approach and vision have evolved, our passion for bird hunting, hospitality, and bringing people together outdoors remains unchanged.

Absolutely. As a Controlled Shooting Area (CSA) we can tailor each hunt to the experience level of your group. We create plenty of opportunities for beginners while still delivering an authentic upland hunt with hard- flying birds and exceptional dog work for seasoned hunters.

Yes. Personal hunting dogs are welcome with prior approval from Redbird Ranch. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations and are required to stay in the mud rooom or outdoor kennels when not in the field.

For our upland bird packages, only a Kansas Controlled Shooting Area (CSA) permit is required. Dove hunts are regulated as migratory bird hunting and require a Kansas Hunting License and HIP Stamp. Ready to buy your license? Click here!

All Redbird Ranch hunting packages include guided hunting, professionally trained bird dogs, private lodging, home-cooked meals, bird cleaning and packaging. Every hunt can be tailored and exclusive to your group.

A preserve hunt allows us to deliver exceptional upland experiences all season liong. We source high-quality, hard-flushing, fast-flying birds and pair them with thoughtfully managed habitat to create exciting hunts you can confidently plan around year after year. Instead of worrying about weather, limited seasons, or spending all day searching for minimal bird opportunities, our guests can focus on what matters most: watching great dogs work, enjoying time with friends, and making memories in the field.

Kansas licensing fees, ammunition, gratuities, and alcohol are not included in package pricing. Redbird Ranch is BYOB, but we are happy to coordinate pickup of not only alcohol but any supplies you need from one of our local retailers prior to your arrival.
